Irish Bred Pub launched a new menu in November. Though the restaurant had made a few minor changes over time, this is the first time that a major update has occurred since they opened in 2008.
One of the goals of Irish Bred Pub from its beginning has been to establish a reputation as a restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that serves high-quality dishes at affordable prices along with a wide variety of soft and alcoholic beverages, rather than simply a bar that serves snack food. According to owner Neil Jenkins, “Building this reputation has not always been easy since the word ‘Pub’ has certain stereotypical images related to alcohol only. It is interesting that today’s successful Pubs back in the UK and Ireland realized, when faced with strong competition from international restaurants in the 1990’s, the importance of offering an excellent and reasonably-priced menu. It’s always been our belief that you can enjoy a drink anywhere, but it is often difficult to find good food in an atmosphere that you and your family and/or friends feel comfortable and welcome. We will therefore always strive to continue improving our service and ambiance, as well as our menu.”.
As for the new menu, there are some new appetizers, entrée salads, signature Pub sandwiches, burgers and wraps, pasta and seafood dishes and steaks and sizzlers. They have also included some vegetarian options and enhanced some of their “Lighter Side of the Pub” dishes. Some of the dishes from the existing menu have also been tweaked, and only a few items have disappeared.
