Local Color is a new art studio and gallery for all ages located on Main Street in historic downtown Villa Rica, Georgia.
This new studio and gallery is owned and operated by Kyler Graye Hembree. Kyler, her husband and two daughters are natives to the Villa Rica, area. Kyler graduated from the University of West Georgia with a BFA, specializing in Art Education. She currently teaches visual arts at South Paulding Middle School in Paulding County where she was nominated New Teacher of the Year in 2012.
Kyler is an art teacher but is also an exciting artist as well. She has won several awards in art exhibitions and her designs have been selected for print and publishing. It is her love for art and her desire to see people of all ages explore their artistic talents that led her to open Local Color. This summer the studio and gallery was the site of several successful art camps for children ages 4 to 18.
The studio will feature art classes for children and adults, adult paint nights, art parties for birthdays and special occasions and will also serve as a venue for local artists to display and sell their art. So whether you are interested in trying your hand at art or are looking for that special piece of art for your home, Local Color has something for you.
Fall classes at Local Color will begin September 4th for children and adults and the studio is now open for registration. The studio and gallery will be hosting a Grand Opening and Open House on September 7th from 5-10 pm and September 8th from 10am-1pm and Kyler invites you to stop in for a visit.
