Gold’s Gym announces charity tennis tournament

Submitted by Peter Freeman

Times have been tough for everyone, and it’s now more than ever that we need to reach out a hand and help those in need. This November, we will be doing just that. Gold’s Gym is proud to announce that we will be holding our 27th annual charity tournament in November, with two different weekends for kids and adults.

This year, we will be donating money to the Public Education Trust and to one needy family in our own community, and that’s where we need YOUR help!

If you have a story of hardship, or know someone who does, and would like to share your story with us, you could have a chance to win money from your community to help you back up on your feet. We know everyone needs a little help now and then, and we want to show our community that we care and that we’re here to help.

You can help even more by signing up to play in the tournament too! We’re accepting all levels of skill and even if you JUST picked up a racket, or haven’t picked one up in a long time, we want you to come out and play! It’s a tournament, but it’s all for a good cause!

If playing isn’t your style, we need lots of volunteers too! We need people to help us run this tournament, from grounds keeping to finding players and sponsors and everything in between!

The tournament dates are as follows:
November 3rd and 4th for the Junior Tournament
November 17th and 18th for the Adult Tournament

We’re all family at Gold’s Gym, and we’re all in this together!
