News & Views Trivia Night
May 18 @ 5:30 pm - 6:50 pm
Free

Looking for a fun and free way to test your knowledge and connect with others in the community? Join News & Views USA, Inc.—publishers of Chapel Hill, Villa Rica/Temple, and Paulding News & Views for our monthly trivia night at the Villa Rica Library.
Hosted by Tim Collins, the publisher of Villa Rica/Temple News & Views, this event takes place on the third Wednesday of each month from 5:30 PM to 6:50 PM, beginning Wednesday, August 18.
The format includes two full games per evening, each consisting of five rounds with three questions per round. Topics will vary wildly—from pop culture to history, science to sports—so everyone has a chance to shine, no matter their specialty.
Play solo or as a team. Solo players are welcome to join forces with others looking to team up, making it a great way to meet new people. “Trivia is just one of those things that brings people together in a really fun way,” says Collins. “It’s competitive but low-pressure. We’ve always had a great time doing it.”
Tim’s son, Dylan, hosted trivia for many years at Fabiano’s in Douglasville, with Tim occasionally stepping in as guest host. Now, Tim is bringing that same energy and style to Villa Rica.
How the Scoring Works:
Each team decides how to value the three questions per round—assigning one question 5 points, one 3 points, and one 1 point. Confident teams can go for the “Bullseye Bonus” by checking a special box. If they get all three questions right, they earn a 10-point bonus (for a total of 19 points that round). But if even one answer is wrong, they lose 10 points for that round—so it’s a strategic gamble best used wisely.
No registration is required—just show up ready to play and have fun. Whether you’re a trivia buff or just in it for the laughs, it’s a great mid-week break for all ages. For information, you may email tim@newsandviewsusa.com
