Cowboy and Western Music Festival to be held

A posse of cowboy musicians and poets are riding into Villa Rica for a Cowboy and Western Music Festival at the Pine Mountain Gold Museum on Saturday May 13th, 2017. The first Western Music & Cowboy Poetry Gathering will take place from 10 am until 4 pm, on the museum grounds. The park will be open to the public just like normal – however, you will also get to meet nationally-acclaimed and award-winning musicians, songwriters, and poets. There will be free music, poetry, cowboy shows, and more! We’ll feature a western and old-time photo booth, plus an interactive area where young folks can handle saddles, reins, bridles, spurs, and other cowboy gear, and get “behind-the-scenes” information from the cowboy singers and poets.

The Museum will also be offering train rides (departing from Pinetown Depot,) Museum admission, and gold and gemstone panning. Everyone that chooses to pan for gemstone or gold with one of our miners will leave with a bag of gems, or vial of gold. There is no charge for admission to attend to festival, enjoy the music, meet our Cowboys, listen to music, or the watch the Cowboy shows. Train rides, Museum admission, and gold or gemstone panning are $5.00 each. Museum admission discounts are given for children under the age of 2, seniors, and military with ID.
