Additional Fund-raiser Scheduled for Thursday, October 24th
Douglas County business Assured Comfort Heating and Air has donated $10,000 to Soldiers’ Angels to provide thousands of holiday stocking bags to military troops in war zones. The organization’s “Christmas for the Troops” project provides personal hygiene and comfort items to troops who are far away from their families for Christmas. Assured Comfort owner Jerry Hall stated that the donation was being made so that “all deployed troops are able to receive a heartfelt gift” at Christmas.
Assured Comfort has also been sponsoring the advertisement of the recent partnership between Soldiers’ Angels and the Buffalo Wild Wings chain of restaurants. Any customer dining at any Atlanta-area Buffalo Wild Wings needs only to say “I support the troops” and the restaurant will donate 15 percent of the check to Soldiers’ Angels for the Christmas project. Assured Comfort has sponsored this fund-raiser through the printing of in-store flyers, social media, and billboards.
Mr. Hall invites all Douglas County residents to dine at Buffalo Wild Wings at 6790 Douglas Boulevard from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 24th, to help boost funds for Soldiers’ Angels. Those attending to contribute towards this effort will be entered into a drawing for a free duct cleaning from Assured Comfort as well as other door prizes.
Mr. Hall also encourages other Douglas County businesses to participate in raising funds to supply troops with needed personal hygiene and other supplies through Soldiers’ Angels. He may be contacted at 770.942.1938.
