GreyStone Power and Chapel Hill News & Views team up for $10,000 contest
GreyStone Power Corporation and News & Views USA, Inc. launched a huge contest this week that will award over $10,000 during the next year to lucky winners. Starting next Monday, September 3rd, a weekly prize of $200 will be awarded in the “Together We Win” contest. Entries for the first week are being accepted now.
“Together We Win” celebrates Chapel Hill News & Views reaching 10,000 Facebook fans, and GreyStone Power’s commitment to building a better community by working together for a better tomorrow.
To enter the contest, West Georgia residents must “like” the GreyStone Power and Chapel Hill News & Views or Villa Rica News & Views Facebook pages. Each Facebook page has a button which residents can click on to bring up the entry form for that week’s contest. Contestants may also enter the contest on the News & Views website and the GreyStone Power website. Participants may enter one time each week, in all five places, giving them five chances to win that week. Only one entry at each site per week is allowed. Entrants must recommend a different business each week. The same person can only win one time during the entire contest. The same business can win multiple times during the duration of the contest since they would be mentioned on the entry form of a different individual.
On the entry form, a resident must describe in 50 words or less a good experience they have had with one of the advertisers in Chapel Hill News & Views or Villa Rica News & Views. Each week one winner will be selected from all of the entries by a random drawing. That person will receive a check for $100, and the business that is mentioned in their entry will also receive $100.
Each week for one year, $200 will be given away. The money is divided equally, with $100 being awarded to an area resident and $100 to a Chapel Hill News & Views or Villa Rica News & Views advertiser that the winner mentions in their entry. The two magazines have between 400 and 500 advertisers combined each month, so it will be easy for contestants to spot one that they want to recommend. Both publications are also online in addition to having a combined circulation of 55,500.
The new contest is a great fit for both companies. GreyStone’s current marketing campaign, “Together We Save,” emphasizes how we can save money and natural resources by working together. Co-op Square, the Facebook game, encourages citizens to do good deeds in six different categories to progress in the game.
Entries from all five sites will be posted on the News & Views website. Winners will be announced on all three Facebook pages and on the websites for News & Views and GreyStone Power.
