Word Cloud one word description of Chapel Hill News & Views

In one question, we asked readers to describe Chapel Hill News & Views in one word. We took all of the answers and created a word cloud. In a word cloud, as words are repeated by different answers, those words become larger. So, words like "great", "informative", "local", and "awesome" were the most frequently used by those that are familiar with the magazine.

The following is a Summary of a Reader Survey conducted during two events in downtown Douglasville - the Ultimate Block Party (April 29, 2016) and the Taste of Douglasville (May 21, 2016). Those who came to our booth were asked if they would fill out a quick survey about Chapel Hill News & Views at these two events, both held in downtown Douglasville.

A total of 280 Surveys were received.

RESULTS:

92.5% said it was their favorite local publication.  236 out of 255 people

96% have read Chapel Hill News & Views (264/280)

100% Trust the content in CHNV (264/264)

97.7% Trust the advertising in CHNV (258/264)

82.8% have contacted a business from CHNV (221/267)

99.6% Think CHNV is a positive influence on Douglas County (263/264)

76.5% Can name some of the businesses that advertise in CHNV without looking (189/247)

94.7% would suggest to a friend that was opening a business in Douglas County that they advertise in CHNV (215/227)

36.9% have visited the CHNV Website (96/260)

34.6% have visited the Facebook page (89/257)

 

SHELF LIFE:

1.9% keep it one day or less (5/261)

14.2% Keep it 1 day to 1 week (37/261)

37.5% Keep it 1 to 3 weeks (98/261)

46.4% keep it longer than 3 weeks (121/261)

SUMMARY: about 84% keep the magazine for at least a week and close to half for over 3 weeks

 

HOW THOROUGHLY IS THE MAGAZINE READ:

3.8% Glance through it but rarely read the articles (10/265)

21.9% Read a few articles but do not read most of it (58/265)

42.3% Read the magazine in spurts through the entire month (112/265)

32.1% Read the entire magazine shortly after receiving it (85/265)

SUMMARY: About 75% read the magazine thoroughly each month

 

WHERE MAGAZINE IS RECEIVED:

66% Receive magazine at home (177/268)

34% Receive it somewhere else (91/268)
