December 7, 2016

WE HAVE FILLED THIS POSITION – THANKS TO ALL WHO APPLIED!

News & Views is looking for a Publisher’s Assistant to start in mid to late December.

Duties include delivering Chapel Hill News & Views to businesses in Douglas County and Villa Rica, working at some of the events we sponsor, attending Chamber and other business functions as our representative, taking invoices to customers, helping to unload magazines when they arrive from the printer (not heavy lifting – just helping to push pallets), taking rate sheets to area businesses, calling past due accounts with a friendly reminder, speaking with potential customers about advertising, and (if possible but not required), writing short articles about new businesses.

Must be friendly and outgoing, in decent physical shape, dependable, and have reliable transportation and good references. Smart phone is required to access lists you will need. A professional appearance is required.

Starting pay is $10 an hour plus 15¢ per mile. Over the course of a month the job will average 20-25 hours a week. Some weeks will be 40 hours, while others may be less. Somewhat flexible schedule, but most hours will be during the day. The hours could increase depending on skill set and track record demonstrated.

If interested, please send an email to tim@chapelhillnews.net and include job history and schedule availability, as well as anything else you feel might help us choose you. Please also include when you can start.
