Crane Institute Certification holds ribbon cutting

In early May, 2013, Crane Institute Certification (CIC) opened its doors to the community of Villa Rica, Ga., located just 30 miles west of Atlanta. CIC offers NCCA-accredited certifications for mobile crane operators (five classifications) and qualified and advanced riggers and signal persons. CIC meets OSHA requirements for crane operator certifications by type and capacity and rigger/signalperson qualifications. As the demand for crane certification grows, CIC is well equipped to meet the demands with its expanded staff and larger location for its Customer Service and Operational Center.

The ceremony began with opening remarks by Pastor Chad Sadorf of the First Presbyterian Church of Villa Rica and City Councilman Patrick Henrickson of Ward 4. Pastor Sadorf, a member of the Villa Rica Downtown Development Authority, closed his remarks by stating “Each day you come to work you are saving lives and the downtown development authority wants to thank you.”
Speakers were followed by an official ribbon cutting and a tour of the offices. In attendance were clients, family, and community members. Joining them was Susan and Jim Headley. Susan Headley is President of CIC and CFO for sister company Crane Institute of America; a training company based in Sanford, Fla. Jim Headley is president of Crane Institute of America and a member of CIC’s Governing Committee.

Debbie Dickinson, Executive Director of CIC, remarked, “We have been very blessed with over 250 test sites nationwide and are now moving into Canada and Europe.” CIC has the support of hundreds of CIC Authorized Examiners, test sites and thousands of satisfied customers.
