6th Annual Cornhole Tournament Outshines the Rain

The Young Professionals Connection of Douglas County hosted the 6th Annual Cornhole Tournament on Sunday, May 21st, at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club in Douglasville.  The double elimination tournament featured 62 teams.

The day started out with pouring rain, but the spirit of the teams quickly brightened things up. This year, the final two teams were Georgia Rage and Corn Hub.  After two rounds, Georgia Rage took home the title as the 2017 Cornhole Champions and winner of $500 cash.

The event proceeds from the Cornhole Tournament benefit multiple scholarship programs. The Youth Leadership Scholarships are presented to local high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership and community service potential. Funds also benefit the Young Professionals Connection’s Continuing Education Scholarships which support young professionals seeking to continue their education.

The Young Professionals Connection is a program through the DC Chamber of rising business and community leaders ages 21-40 who commit to connecting with their peers, community, and future through networking and social events.
